The vast expanse of the beach was quiet and still, with only a gentle breeze and a faint hum of the ocean in the distance.
I was waiting for the waves.
I waited so long I wondered whether the tide would be so low today the water would never come. And then I heard a whoosh. A wave, several hundred meters wide, was coming at a speed I did not expect. It was only a brief few seconds before the water came and rushed past me, blessing me with a spellbinding spectacle of nature. Suddenly I found myself standing in the middle of the sea. I chuckled, waited for the photograph to finish exposure, and went to the shore to change my shoes.
